About us
Shiny Stars pre-school has a robust vision and caring, well trained team. Shiny Stars opened in 2010, we are opened term time located at 30 Cromwell Road, Peterborough PE1 2EA, offering childcare for 2,3,4, year olds.

We have been awarded Outstanding by Ofsted. We are highly professional, caring, fun and with good sense of humour.
We always reflect on our practice and always evaluate our activities to make sure its suitable for the cohort and individual needs. We use the 3 I’s to always demonstrate out intention when we plan the activities, to implement what we set out to do and to see the impact it has on our children and their families. We aim that every child reaches their potential and has the best start in life.
We pride ourselves on having a welcoming multi-lingual team who will go above and beyond to build trusting relationships with both children and parents to make sure our families feel valued, secured and safe. We like to bring home experiences into our pre-school and we share our activities with our parents.
A safe environment
We are lucky to have a good size garden where children can develop life skills, from learning how to plant seeds and looking after the environment to harvest fruit and vegetables to taste at snack times.
Carring and Committed staff
We are a small team of 4 dedicated practitioners with relevant Level 3 qualifications in child care and above.
Development
We are committed to ensuring that all of our children learn and develop at their own pace using resources independently and challenging resources specific for the age groups.

Our aim is to always reflect on our practice and routines, to have a sensitive approach towards our families and also to each other within the team.
Andreea Harris
Pre-School Manager
Level 6, QTS – Qualified Teacher Status and NPQ in Leadership and Management.
I am also Special Education Needs co-ordinator, Behaviour Management Co-ordinator and Safeguarding Lead.
As a manager I oversea all aspects of the pre-school and I make sure that everything runs smoothly and the children are exploring and learning in a safe and happy environment.
When I am not in the office, I like to get messy with the children making gloop, making potions, gardening etc.
I have been the manager for Shiny Stars pre-school for 5 years. I am a dedicated manager with a love for giving the children the best start in life. I’m proud of our team and our preschool for achieving OFSTED highest grade- OUTSTANDING under my leadership.

Key Person
A Key Person for Every Child
Our pre-school has a key person system. This means that each member of staff has a group of children for whom they are particularly responsible. Your child’s key person will be the person who works with you to make sure that what we provide is right for your child’s particular needs and interests. When your child first starts, they will help your child to settle in.

Experts in giving your children best start
Deputy Manager, Level 3 In Child Care
I am a very experienced practitioner with 10 years’ experience working in pre-school. I have experience working with children age 2 and above. I am Special Needs Co-Ordinator and Safeguarding Lead for the setting. I am a great team player and I offer my support to all the practitioners. My favourite time of the day is story time and role- playing. I like to listen to the children and I like to encourage them to be independent.
Level 3 In Child Care, Safeguarding Lead
I have been working as a practitioner for Shiny Stars for 4 years. I have experience in child care and I can offer stimulating activities for children to explore and enjoy. I am a valuable member of staff who will go extra mile to offer great opportunities to the children. I like to run around with the children but also, I like to encourage children’s imagination trough drawing/ mark making.
Practitioner -Level 3 in Child Care
I have been working as a practitioner for Shiny Stars Pre-School for 5 years and I enjoyed every single moment. I have experience in working with children and I like to get to know our children and our families. I offer support for SEN children and have good relationship with our parents. My favourite time of the day is cooking with the children, making and creating different dishes. I like to encourage the children to use their imagination through play.
